Privacy policy (draft)

This is a short draft. It will be completed, with the operator’s name and contact details, before the site takes requests.

What we collect

Only what you type into the request form: the pack you chose or a site name, a coordinate and a plot size, what the pack is for, your email address and an optional message. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other websites.

When a pack or one of its sheets is downloaded, or an unlisted download page is opened, we keep a plain log line: the time, the address the request came from, the browser's description, the page it came from and any cookies the browser sent (this site sets none). It is our record of what was supplied, kept for up to a year and shared with no one.

When you type a coordinate, the page asks our own server whether we hold LiDAR for that point, so it can show the wait. That check sends the coordinate and plot size only, and nothing is stored from it.

Why

To reply to your request, confirm your email address (you open the link we send and press Confirm; academic use needs an education address), prepare a price and, if you go ahead, make and deliver your pack. We do not use your details for marketing, and we never share or sell them.

Where it is kept and for how long

The site is served through Cloudflare, which handles each request to deliver the page. Requests are kept only as long as needed to answer them and keep a record of packs delivered; the retention period will be stated here before launch.

Download links

A download link carries a token tied to your request. The page takes it out of the address bar as soon as it loads and keeps it only for that browser tab.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

Write to [email protected]. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Children

The site is for adults and organisations. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
